2 hours 25 minutes and 39 songs later

This week was my last long run before the BIG RACE. I was so nervous that I almost backed out of the race and the long run. Christopher told me that I wasn't allowed to back out and that I was going to do the long run. So being the obedent wife that I am, or the one whose pride was hurt when he called me a wimp, ran the thirteen miles. Okay, so i ran most of it and walked a bit too. I couldn't even run the last mile. I walked it. BUT it only took me 2 hours and 25 minutes. I was so exstatic! That is 11 minute miles which is great for me! So off to the big race. Wish me luck. I hope that the hill at the end doesn't kill me.

Go, Diego, Go

When asking our kids what they wanted to do this weekend Aiden said he wanted to walk and climb rocks. Aiden has always been into hikes and walks and so we decided to go hike in boulder. We went to a place right outside of eldorado canyon. Aiden having decided that we needed to hike also decided that he needed to carry a backpack up the mountain that we were going to climb. By the way, he didn't think that we should hike just a little way but to the top of one of the flat iron mountains ( If you have ever been to boulder you know what I am talking about!). So we start hiking, Aiden carrying 5 cars in a backpack, I was carrying Hunter in a backpack, and Christopher carrying the extra backpack carrier in case Aidens determination gave out. Well, after Aiden ran the first quarter mile, the trail got steeper. It was like going up a set of stairs. Did this deter our Diego want-a-be. Of course not! We had to make him stop every ten minutes to drink water and pour it on his bright red cheeks. We continued to climb for about a mile and a quarter before he finally started slowing down. We decided to start back down hill before he completely died. Halfway back down he said that we wanted his back pack to turn into a snowboard to slide down the mountain! Overall, our three year old lazy boy walked 2 and a half miles! 2 and a half! The last measured distance that we walked together was 1 mile! The rest of the night he was bushed. I think that he would hike everyday if we let him.

Graduation time!

This last week was Christopher's graduation. It was LONG! Two and a half hours! Who wants to listen to peoples name be called for two and a half hours. Not to mention that the Doctorate candidates took like 30 secs each because of the hooding ceremony. It was nice to see him walk and get his diploma, and to see Ty get his too! So it is officially over. Christopher is now a Master!

My best girlfriend Juliana also Graduated as a Dental Hygienist this semester! Anyone looking to hire a great worker she is ready to roll!

I also have to give a shout out to all the seniors that we know that graduated from high school this month! GO Travis, Luke, Justin, Ashley, Jake, Gideon, Porter, Jared, Matt and Samantha!

Mother to 5

Okay. I. will. never. have. 5. children. at least not under the age of six. I babysat 3 kids of a lady in our ward. She needed a root canal so I watched her kids, and she watched mine Monday when I went out with Jill and Juliana. When they first got here chaos broke loose. Some kids ran upstairs, some down, and one outside on the porch. I finally got them rounded up eating a snack and decided that I could hurry and check my bank account downstairs. Oh, I was not thinking. I heard someone outside so I ran upstairs only to find it empty. All the kids had escaped out the back door and we now on their way to the parking lot! Holy Cow!!!! I forced them all downstairs in the basement and they settled down. Then I had a great idea to take them all to story time. This sounds scary. BUT it worked out well. The 5, 4, and 3 year old did really well. The 2 year old did okay and the 1 year old did fine. Everyone at the Library gave me funny looks for having so many kids. I gave myself crazy looks for having so many kids. But all in all it went smoothly. No one died. No one was lost. AND everyone ( read me) learned something! I learned that it takes 5 minutes to get 4 kids buckled in car seats. My shout goes out to anyone with 5 kids. It is like running a zoo!

I know, I know...

I know that I haven't posted in forever! We haven't been too busy but it just seems that we are busy enough! Nothing new has been happening in our family. Aiden started swimming lessons two weeks ago. He really loves it. We decided to do an advanced parent tot class. Aiden is sometimes shy in the water and we were not sure he would like the regular classes. He has already calmed down in the water a ton. He will float on his back with support now and can do the strokes that are assigned to the kids. He isn't swimming on his own but I think that it will take a couple more levels of classes.

Hunter is being her normal self. Lately she has started a wonderful new tool to get our attention. Yelling. It will start as a low "mommy", then "Mommy!" followed by "MOMMY!!!!!" I think that my ears have rang a couple of times. If She doesn't like how you answered her request she will start all over. Oh the joys of an almost two year olds. She cracks me up though!
