Viva Las Vegas

This last week we spent in Las Vegas. The last time we were in Vegas it was for a job interview and we didn't do anything fun. Not this time! We had lots of fun.
We drove over on Tuesday leaving at 4 am. We got there around two and were able to swim. I think our kids were most excited just to be out of the car. I took this picture on the way to the pool...

On Wednesday we took a little trip to the outlet mall. I was in heaven. There is a billabong outlet, and a hurley outlet and a volcom outlet and a DC outlet.... I could go on and on. The kids weren't so happy about the shopping trip but Aiden did take some cute pics while he was bored...

On thursday we went to the M&M factory, looked at the lions at the MGM, and walked around a bit. The walking was mostly in the MGM because it is one huge hotel. Aiden loved the rainforest cafe store that they have there. They wanted to touch all the fake animals. I just loved that you can valet park anywhere for free and not have to worry about finding a parking spot.

That night John and Becky treated Christopher and I for our birthdays to Phantom of the Opera. It was worth it. I loved it. there was one little girl that was surprised by her mom for her birthday, It was so cute, They got her front row tickets. i think that I will do that for my kids if they keep loving it, ( This is the only picture that we got, the famous self taken portrait)

On friday we went to the hoover dam. Did you know that to even go into the visitors center it costs 8 bucks. And to go on the dam tour it is over 20! That is outrageous. So we just walked along the dam. The kids really thought that it was cool that the dam was on the movie transformers. I Later that day we went to a couple of the hotels just to window shop and of course we saw the Belligio fountains
On saturday we went to red rock canyon. It was the coolest hiking area. The rocks were formed by old sand dunes and the park allowed you just to climb all over the formations. It was awesome. I actually think it was my favorite part! The kids were really brave crawling all over the boulders.

well I will post easter another day because this post is getting long!

Vegas is fun, but it looks like red rocks is the winner! I love the pic of Hunter hiding in her little cave :) Glad you had such a good trip! And nice photos, Aiden - either he's getting really old or you're quite daring to let him have free reign with your camera! Don't lend it to me, I'd probably STILL lose it or break it :)
