Our first trip to the ER
Aiden had a quite exciting day today. When he got home from school Christopher was out riding one of the horse. Aiden decided that he wanted to ride and so Christopher got off the horse and put Aiden on it. Christopher then dropped the reins and went to grab something. The horse started walking, Christopher lunged at it and the lunge spoked the horse. She took off at a run wad promptly deposited Aiden on the ground. Unfortunately, He hit face first on the ground and then slid about 4 feet. He was bleeding pretty bad when Christopher brought him in the house. We quickly rushed him to the doctors. On the way he became really sleepy and a little lethargic. At the doctors they decided to send him to the ER. At the ER they did a head CT and a couple of x-rays on his ribs. they were worried that they would miss a skull fracture or brain bled because of the force of the trauma. When all was said and done he was fine. He needed a couple of stitches in his forehead and was sent home with a prescription of Tylenol with codine. We think he will be sore for a couple of days! We are really grateful that he didn't get stepped on or break any bones!

OH poor little guy! We are so glad he is ok! It looks like he is in a lot of pain!
That scrape does look awful! Poor Guy. I hope he won't be too sore tommorow!
That's so sad! I'm glad that he is not too terrible hurt, his face looks so sad in the picture though! Hope he feels better soon!
oh my gosh, poor aiden!! that must've been horrible. i hope he's feeling better soon. so sad :(
Poor dude! Maybe it'll give him some battle wounds to impress the girls with later in life? But for now, I hope he heals quickly! I'll buy some stock in Band-Aid, looks like you guys might be upping their stock.
Bad week for ER trips, I had to take Patrick in this week because he fell and bit a huge hole in his tongue! Luckily no stitches required, but it's been this nasty flappy thing all week and I about gag every time I see it. Obviously nothing compared to Aiden, though! Give him lots of (light) hugs for us!
